Terms of Use

Effective October 2026. By downloading or using NetShell ("the App") you agree to these terms. The App is provided by Wellington Mukahiwa.

1. The license we give you

NetShell offers a free plan and a paid subscription. The free plan lets you use the App's terminal with one SSH server — the first SSH server you save; every other server and feature requires an active NetShell Pro subscription. Subject to these terms, and to an active subscription for the features that require one, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in line with the Apple Media Services Terms and these terms.

2. Subscriptions, billing and cancellation

NetShell Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store. The current plans and prices are shown in the App before you purchase; the price you see there, in your own currency, is the price that applies.

• Free plan. The free plan is not a trial and does not convert into a paid subscription. You are charged only if you choose to subscribe to NetShell Pro. We may change what the free plan includes for future versions of the App.
• Free trial. Where a free trial is offered, it is stated in the App before you subscribe. Trial eligibility is determined by Apple, and is generally once per subscription group per Apple Account. If you subscribe during a trial, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited.
• Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. We do not process, receive or store your payment details — Apple does.
• Automatic renewal. The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.
• Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel the subscription at any time in Apple Account settings on your device. We cannot cancel it for you, and cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Deleting the App does not cancel it. Removing NetShell from your device does not stop billing. Cancel in Apple Account settings.
• Refunds. Purchases made through the App Store are refunded by Apple under its own policies, not by us. Requests go to Apple.
• Price changes. If a price changes, Apple will notify you and, where required, ask you to consent before the next renewal.
• Offers. Promotional and win-back offers, where available, are administered by Apple, are limited to eligible Apple Accounts, and may be withdrawn.

3. Acceptable use

NetShell is a tool for connecting to and managing servers and devices you are authorized to access. You agree not to use it to access systems without permission, to break any law, or to interfere with others' systems. You are solely responsible for what you do in your sessions.

4. Your data and credentials

You are responsible for your own SSH keys, passwords, and server access. NetShell stores credentials in the iOS Keychain and never transmits them to a NetShell server (see the Privacy Policy). Keep your device secured with a passcode and Face ID; losing an unlocked device is outside our control.

5. Third-party services

If you connect your own AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Ollama) or other third-party services, your use of those is governed by their terms, and any usage costs are yours — they are separate from your NetShell subscription. NetShell is independent and not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any third-party service or other SSH client referenced on this site.

6. No warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded in your jurisdiction.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or server downtime, arising from your use of the App.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim arose. If you are dissatisfied, you may cancel your subscription at any time in Apple Account settings, and Apple's refund policy applies to purchases made through the App Store.

8. Changes

We may update the App and these terms over time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will appear here with a new effective date.
